Connor & Chloe

are getting married... YAY

10 / 07 / 2027

Misty Mountain Reserve

Tsitsikamma Forest, Garden Route

South Africa

What to expect?

You know the film Twilight? Think that, but BETTER.

Not only will we be hosting a beautiful forest themed wedding day

but awesome activities around the Tsitsikamma area as well.

If you would like to join us for the activities in the days

leading up to the wedding, please do!

If you're not keen - that's totally okay as well.

The Plan

Everything you need to know!

Ceremony & Reception We’ll be getting married in the forest at Misty Mountain Reserve. The ceremony will be relaxed & focused on the moment rather than formality. Afterward, we’ll move straight into drinks, dinner, and celebrating together. Think Twilight for the ceremony and Project X for the party. Need we say more?

Dress Code Formal / Smart Casual Think wedding‑appropriate, warm layers, earthy or neutral tones, and comfortable shoes suitable for a forest setting. Closed shoes are strongly recommended. Girlies, please don't worry about wearing heels (the bride isn't even wearing them).

Food & Drinks Guests have the option of a Spit Braai or a veggie set menu option. You’ll be able to select your meal choice and let us know about any dietary requirements when you RSVP.

Music & Celebration D to the J. We have an awesome DJ who is going to set the vibe during the wedding day. If you have a song you’d love to hear, feel free to add it when you RSVP.

Photos During the ceremony, we’d love phones away so everyone can be fully present and so our photographer can capture the moment without a wall of screens. After that, photos are very welcome (and encouraged).

The Week

Optional activities during the wedding week!

Tuesday — Arrival Day Arrive whenever suits you, settle in, and breathe out. In the evening, we’ll have optional drinks — warm, relaxed, and very low effort.

Wednesday — Nature Day A choose‑your‑own‑adventure day. Forest walks, kayaking, exploring the area, or doing absolutely nothing at all — no pressure and no schedule.

Thursday - Dinner A slower day to relax and explore the surrounding areas. In the evening, we'll gather for a communal dinner just to chat and have a few laughs with one another.

Friday — Welcome Dinner Our official welcome to everyone. A relaxed dinner together, good conversation, and an early‑ish night before the big day.

Saturday — Wedding Day 💍 The main event. A forest ceremony followed by a candlelit celebration in the Green House — great food, music, and a proper party.

Sunday — Farewell Brunch Body text: A gentle send‑off. Late brunch, coffee, comfort food, and relaxed goodbyes. Sunglasses encouraged.

Some extra helpful info!

Getting There The nearest airports are: Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) — approximately 2.5 hours’ drive George — approximately 2 hours’ drive Car hire is highly recommended.

Driving Notes The final part of the drive is scenic and can be slightly winding. We recommend allowing extra travel time and, where possible, driving during daylight hours.

Accommodation On‑site accommodation at The Fernery is limited, so we’ll be prioritising immediate family to stay on the property. There are excellent accommodation options nearby in and around Storms River for everyone else. We’ll share recommendations closer to the date.

Shuttle A shuttle service will be available between Storms River Village and The Fernery on key days for guests staying off‑site. Details and timings will be shared closer to the wedding.

Weather & What to Pack July is winter. Expect cool to cold mornings and evenings, mild daytime temperatures, and possible rain. We recommend warm layers, a jacket or coat, comfortable closed shoes, and a rain layer just in case.

FAQs

Do we need to attend the whole week? Not at all. Join us for one day, a few days, or the whole week — whatever works for you. The only non‑negotiable event is Saturday (the wedding). Everything else is optional and relaxed.

What if it rains? Then we fully embrace the moody forest vibes. There are weather backup plans in place, and everything will still be warm, dry, and beautiful. Rain in a forest also makes for incredible photos.

Are kids welcome? Yes — kids are welcome. Please include them in your RSVP so we can plan food, seating, and the correct level of organised chaos.

Can I wear heels? You can, but we recommend block heels, wedges, or flats. This is a forest setting rather than a ballroom — your ankles will thank you.

Is there cell signal or Wi‑Fi? Cell signal can be patchy in places — welcome to the forest. Wi‑Fi is available at the lodge, and we highly recommend embracing the opportunity to unplug.

Who do we contact with questions? We’ll share a contact person closer to the wedding for any urgent questions. For now, feel free to reach out to us — we promise we’re friendly.
